Great read about the Chicago Tribune’s ridiculous column encouraging heckling in a comedy club. Long time Cringe Humor writer and stand up comedian Julian Kross tackles the issue:
Overall, the article attempts to give merit to the practice of heckling, yet freely admits hecklers are arrogant drunks that usually aren’t funny or intelligible. Arrogant drunks are often known for spousal abuse as well. While I would find humor in a world where publishing a useless article in a national newspaper was punishable with with a wife beater’s slap across the room, I would hardly condone the practice.
